How should you calibrate the antenna's VSWR for first-time use?

First ground antenna to vehicle metal. Use SWR meter: measure SWR on ch40 & ch1. If higher on ch40, shorten antenna. If higher on ch1, lengthen antenna. Repeat until SWR is acceptable on both (ideally below 2:1).
